Maybe the Universe likes to keep its balance, something good is always balanced out by something bad. So if Karyu was being so beautiful and glowing wearing all white, Hizumi's outfit had to be absolutely atrocious. Actually I think he did a good job of balancing out the whole band, not just Karyu. I guess everyone saw the New Year comment Zero uploaded on D'espa youtube channel so you, guys, know what I am talking about. But I was so traumatized when he walked out on the stage wearing that jacket and a hat with a feather. And sunglasses! How can I forget the sunglasses even if he took them off in the very beginning? Tears rolled down my cheeks and my heart bled... but only until the moment he started singing. Hizumi was amazing! He had gotten much better, but unfortunately still not 100%. By the middle of the show the strain on his voice showed and it became obvious that he had not completely recovered yet. Still it was definitely much much better than I'd heard him since the end of the summer (though I think the worst ever was Kyoto gig in May).

My neck still hurts when I tilt my head even though it's been what... four days since the live? Maybe it's a sign that I am getting old.

This has been such a bad year for me. Looking back, the only good thing was the Dir en grey (awesome) concert, but that memory is enough to forget all the bad ones. So~ I want to finish this year with happiness !

So~ before the year ends! Here's a bunch of NEWS graphics I made ♥

And I watched Despa DVD again. Give me a moment for a smoke and I'll watch it third time 8D
I have a week off until Monday. Life is good~ and what makes it better is that I managed to stay away from cameras. If I don't notice myself in the footage, I am pretty sure no one will. Must be my KGB genes *cackles*
I woke up early today because I had to throw away the garbage (I abhor garbage disposal rules in Nagoya) and then went to Likea to do a little shopping. Which in retrospect wasn't so little, I am so poor now... Along with Closer to Ideal DVD and Immortal, I got Sadie's Gain mini album, it came with a ticket for an instore next month so why not ;D
Back to the topic of Closer to Ideal, I noticed a few cuts. One is I was 100% sure would happen: Hizumi stumbling and falling quite splendidly right in the beginning of the show during "Going on". Of course it is not there. They also removed the member's introduction part from "bullet" and left only Hizumi screaming: "We are D'espairsRay!". It was a silly thing to do in Japan considering that he introduced everyone in English and even screamed his own name, but still I was surprised they cut it. Sadly they also removed the last MC right before "Tainted world", when Hizumi talked about his problems with the voice.
I cannot wait until tomorrow. Yokohama, here I come!!! I still need to decide what clothes to bring with me. Which of my dresses is going to look good with a white leather jacket? Choices, choices... But I have already packed Zero's present  >;D along with a present for kouri0201.

I finally got a necklace delivered. The delivery man was supposed to come in the evening, but 7-8p.m. not 10p.m. I already gave up on him coming today and thought that I'd have to call the company again. Anyway here they are: a piece of Hizumi number one



and a piece of Hizumi number two



The pendant is obvious, what it is is written on the box and they advertised it for months on Despa's OHP, but if you can tell me why the ring is "Hizumi", you can... proudly hold a title of "a Hizumi-obsessed stalker" ;D lil'Hizu notwithstanding I bought the ring because I really liked the design, and leather is quite unusual material to use for the rings. I had to order it online since Transcore has stores only in Tokyo and Osaka, but not in Nagoya, and surprisingly I got the size right.

P.S. Livejournal now has a wonderful new feature for paid and permanent members - My Stats. I can see the number of visitors to my journal, page views etc. Ignorance is a bliss... Big Brother is watching you, guys! -_-;

What is the biggest rock cliche? Aside from "sex, drugs, rock'n'roll", it is "going on tour, wild parties, trashing the hotel rooms and throwing a TV out of a hotel room window". The TV is probably the worst cliche, cliche of cliches, but why nobody ever told D'espa that? Or was that story about a shoji screen in a hotel in Osaka at the end of the chapter their version of "We will follow a different path"? So pathetic... I should be already used to their antics but they still regularly make me wanna bang my head against the wall a few times. Gotta love these silly guys ;D

This part is just a reference to make the main interview more readable since the conversation follows the timeline.
The notation should be pretty clear: first date, then a city or a place, next is a live house name, after that additional information like a title of a live or a list of the bands who played then. In some cases the bands are not listed even though there must have been several of them. The reason is probably that there is no information about it now, all sunk into obscurity long ago.

I'll update the timeline as I finish the corresponding chapters.
